Environmental/Ecology
Plan and implement activities to raise awareness regarding the environment and conservation. Focuses on school grounds improvement, recycling, and environmental education. Coordinates an annual clean-up day that coincides with Earth Day

Recruit, organize and schedule volunteers to work in the Front Office - Organize training

Grade Level Coordinators - 6th Grade, 7th Grade and 8th Grade 
Works with 6th, 7th and 8th grade teachers on communications to parents. Responsible for 6th, 7th and 8th grade bulletin boards for Honors program. Provides updates and information for Husky Highlights as needed

Assist school nurse with annual screening. Training is provided and is mandatory.

Honors Program

Purchase certificate templates and seals to create honors certificates for students achieving all A's and all A's and B's - work with hospitality on reception for All A's students

Hospitality
Coordinate, plan and execute the Back-to-School luncheon for teachers; Honors reception dessert buffet for All A's students 1x per year; provide snacks for teachers during conference week and catered staff appreciation luncheon, special recognition and appreciation days - counselors, nurse, custodian, admin, etc.

Husky 101
Coordinate, plan and execute Husky 101, an orientation event held the first Saturday in May for rising 6th graders.

Legislative
Stay up to date and report on local, county, state and federal news/information on pending or current legislation/regulations affecting HTMS/Cobb County students/staff

Membership 
Collect and track memberships and dues.  Conduct membership drives as needed. Attend PTSA and school events to promote PTSA membership. Distribute membership cards. Provide membership reports and updates as needed.

Reflections

The Reflections program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Students in preschool through grade 12 are encouraged to create and submit works of art in one or more of six areas: literature, musical composition, photography, visual arts (which includes art forms such as drawing, painting, print making, and collage), dance choreography and film/video production.
